Gionee M2017 clears TENAA with 6GB RAM, 7,000mAh battery
A new Gionee smartphone has been certified by the Chinese telecommunication authority TENAA. Listed as Gionee M2017, the device is powered by an octa-core 1.96GHz processor and sports a 5.7-inch QHD display.
The phone has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. In terms of camera, the Gionee M2017 features a 12MP + 13MP dual rear setup and an 8MP front shooter. It's listed as running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and features a fingerprint sensor as well.
Measuring 155.2×77.6×10.65mm and weighing in at 230g, the M2017 packs in an insanely huge 7,000mAh battery. There's currently no information on the device's pricing and availability.

While Google was quicker than other tech firms to bring virtual reality to phones a few years ago with its Cardboard initiative, interest in mobile VR seems to have dropped off lately.
