HTC 11 to feature Snapdragon 835 CPU and 8GB RAM: Report

HTC 11 has been purportedly leaked on Chinese social media, revealing the potential spec sheet.

HTC 11 could be the world’s first smartphone with 8GB RAM.

HTC 11 specifications, pictures have been been leaked on Weibo, revealing the features of the upcoming phone. According to the leak, the smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD (QHD) screen having a resolution of 2560×1440. That means the HTC 11 could come with a bigger screen size than the 5.2-inch FHD panel used on the original HTC 10.

The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor, a new chip that was announced by Qualcomm last month. HTC 11 could also become the world’s first smartphone featuring 8GB RAM (up from 4GB) and 256GB of internal memory. But this 8GB RAM is one leak that seems to keep cropping around various smartphone brands and their flagships, so it’s best to take it with a pinch of salt.

The leak also suggests that the upcoming smartphone will come with a dual-camera setup on the back, which will consist of two 12-megapixel modules. An 8-megapixel front camera will also be there. Dual-cameras are likely to be the next big thing in 2017, so it won’t be surprising if HTC tries to follow this trend.

In addition, HTC 11 is speculated to come with an improved battery as well. The rumoured 3,700 mAh battery will be much bigger than the current 3,000 mAh battery inside the HTC 10. The phone is also said to feature Qualcomm Quick Charging 4.0 technology, which offers reduced charging times.
HTC has been struggling to deliver a hit smartphone for quite sometime. The last few smartphones like M8, M9 and M10, to name a few or even the HTC 10 failed to live up to consumer expectations. There’s no word on when HTC plans to launch its next-generation smartphone.
