HP Omen series of gaming devices launched in India

HP has launched the Omen lineup of gaming devices in India. This includes laptops, desktops, and other accessories like mice, keyboards and more. The products will be available from March 15 via hpshopping.in, HP World Stores, leading ecommerce portals and large format retail (LFR) stores. Rajiv Srivastava, Managing Director of HP Inc. India stated, “Gaming in India has seen rapid expansion and adoption in the recent times. The time was right for us to introduce our gaming portfolio to further our strategy to provide unparalleled consumer experience. ‘OMEN by HP’ is for gamers who need their PC to deliver a great experience while also allowing them the flexibility to choose the level of performance and design that fits their needs. We are excited to bring the OMEN portfolio to India.”

The Omen laptop will be available in two variants, one with a 17.3-inch screen (Omen 17) and the other with a 15.6-inch screen (Omen 15). The Omen 17 is a VR ready laptop that sports a WLED UWVA display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It features an 8GB Nvidia 1070 GeForce GTX graphics card and a 7th Gen Intel quad-core i7-7700HQ processor. The Omen 17 also comes with a 1TB HDD and 256GB SSD, as well as Bang and Olufsen audio enhancements. The laptop is priced at Rs. 1,39,990.

The Omen 15 sports a 4GB Nvidia 1050 GeForce GTX graphics card and a 7th Gen Intel quad-core i7-7700HQ processor. It has a 15.6-inch WLED display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Like the Omen 17, the Omen 15 also features a 1TB Hard Disk and 128GB SSD along with Bang and Olufsen Audio. It is priced at Rs. 79,990.

The Omen desktop sports a 3GB Nvidia 1060 GeForce GTX graphics card and a 7th Gen Intel quad-core i7-7700HP processor. It also features liquid cooling with advanced head management, along with a 2TB Hard Disk and 128GB SSD. Prices for the Omen Desktop start at Rs. 1,39,990.

The Omen keyboard, headset, mouse and mousepad were developed in partnership with SteelSeries. The Omen Keyboard comes with 5 zones capable of 16.8 million colours. It also features a One touch combo feature that lates users program 88 built-in macro keys. Further, 20 keys in the most-used gaming areas support anti-ghosting. The Omen keyboard is priced at Rs. 9,999.

The Omen Headset features a retractable mic with a 3.5mm mobile adapter and is priced at Rs. 7,499. The Omen mouse features true 1:1 tracking and HP says that it offers best-in-class CPI adjustments. It also comes with Intelligent RGB illumination. The Omen Mouse is priced at Rs. Rs.5,499. The Omen Mousepad measures 15.7 x 17.7 inches in size and features a non-slip rubber base. It is priced at Rs. 2,199.
